EarthistDAO Governance Whitepaper
EarthistDAO is working with BanklessDAO_TR, subDAO within the larger BanklessDAO ecosystem, focusing on expanding the regeneration and bankless movement in the Turkish community. It aims to bridge the gap between the regeneration movement and the Turkish audience by offering localized content, resources, and community engagement tailored to the unique cultural and linguistic needs of the Turkish community. The subDAO's mission is to educate, inform, and onboard Turkish individuals into the web3 space, promoting regeneration, financial sovereignty and literacy.
How to Contribute:
Connect Wallet to Sobol & Fill in Your Profile: Before you can actively participate in EarthistDAO, you need to connect your wallet to Sobol and complete your profile. This step ensures that your contributions and roles within the DAO are accurately mapped and recognized.
Join the Discord Server: Joining the Discord server is the primary platform for communication, collaboration, and community engagement.
Acquire the Seasonal Guest Badge: New members should navigate to the #welcome channel on Discord. Read the welcome message and click the provided link to request a seasonal Guest Badge from otterspace.xyz. This badge, a soulbound NFT, grants you the Guest role in the Discord server.
Engage with Tasks: Utilize the DeWork task boards to find tasks that align with your skills and interests. There are both volunteer and contributor tasks available. Completing three volunteer tasks makes you eligible for the Contributor role.
Acquire the Contributor Badge: After completing the required volunteer tasks, request your Contributor Badge, verify it with the Collab.land bot in Discord, and earn the Contributor role. As a Contributor, you have the opportunity to participate in decision-making processes and take on operational roles.
Participate in Decision Making: Engage in weekly meetings and participate in polls conducted using sesh.bot in Discord. Depending on your role, you may have varying levels of influence in different polls.
Apply for Operational Roles: Every season, the last two weeks are dedicated to elections for various roles. The first week is for role applications, and the second week is for voting. If elected for a role, ensure you get the Role Specific Badge and verify it with Collab.land to receive your role tag in Discord.
Continuous Engagement: Stay active in the community, attend meetings, engage in discussions, and contribute to ongoing projects. Our community thrives on the collective efforts of its members.
Roles
EarthistDAO recognizes two main types of roles: Operational Roles and Community Roles.
Operational Roles: These roles pertain to the specific functions and tasks essential for the smooth operation of the DAO. They include positions such as coordinators, content creators, developers, and other specialized roles. Members in these roles are directly involved in the production, management, and execution of projects and initiatives within the DAO.
Coordinator: Role Description: Acts as a liaison with the wider Network and oversees the activities within the node. Responsibilities: Facilitates activities within the Node, ensures alignment with the broader DAO's objectives, manages financial records.
Social Media Team: Coordinator: Role Description: Oversees the team's activities. Responsibilities: Ensures tasks are completed and acts as a point of contact between the team and the Coordinator. Social Media Handlers (2 members): Role Description: Manages, posts, and interacts on social media platforms. Responsibilities: Direct handling of platforms, engages with the audience, manages communications.
Content Team: Role Description: Creates and repurposes content. Responsibilities: Produces original content, repurposes existing content.
Translators Team: Role Description: Translates content. Responsibilities: Focuses on translating general Bankless content to cater to the Turkish audience.
Community Engagement Team: Role Description: Engages with the community. Responsibilities: Gathers feedback, ensures members are informed, welcomes new members.
Community Roles: These roles focus on the engagement, growth, and well-being of the community. They include roles such as Guest and Contributor. Community roles play a crucial part in decision-making, community engagement, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Guest: New members who join the DAO start as Guests. They have limited access and need to complete certain tasks to progress to the Contributor role.
Contributor: Members who have shown dedication and contribution to the DAO. They have more access, can participate in decision-making processes, and can take on operational roles.
Elections and Consensus
EarthistDAO values the opinions and contributions of its members. Decision-making processes are transparent and inclusive.
Consensus: Consensus within EarthistDAO is primarily achieved through weekly meetings and polls conducted using sesh.bot on Discord. Only Contributors can participate in high-level decision-making polls.
Elections: Role elections are conducted every season to ensure fresh perspectives. The election process spans the last two weeks of each season.
Seasons Seasons within the node operate in alignment with the overarching funding cycles of EarthistDAO. EarthistDAO plans for budgeting and operational needs during these periods.
Remuneration: EarthistDAO operates on a performance-based remuneration system. The DAO showcases its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the IMN.

Scope: This Code of Conduct applies to all platforms, events, and interactions related to the EarthistDAO community.
Review: This Code of Conduct will be periodically reviewed and updated.
Amendments: EarthistDAO values the dynamic nature of the decentralized space and recognizes the need for periodic updates. To ensure that these changes reflect the collective will of the community, the following amendment process has been established.
